Jr. Production Executive

Want a Jr. Production Executive to plan, schedule, and oversee production, ensuring quality, efficiency, cost control, material reconciliation, staff performance, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement for customer satisfaction.

Position -  Junior Production Engineer Qualification - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience - 1-3 yrs Industry background - Industrial Equipments Scheduling Production:

  • Ensure the efficient and timely production of goods. (within budget and quality standard).
  • Plan a production schedule for the job.
  • Implement and control the production schedule, ensure that it is happening as per the defined schedule.
  • Review and adjust the schedule wherever needed.

Production Functions:

  • Manage manpower and material to meet production targets.
  • Determine the material resources required.
  • Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement of equipment if required.
  • Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
  • Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
  • Conflict management - grievances of blue collared to be sorted out at his level and unsorted problems are to be escalated to the directors.
  • Co-ordination with feeder department like machining, material cutting, Hardening, coil winding for smooth production functioning.
  • With the help of quality, communicate with sales department / customer for changing / removing certain specification from project.
  • Rescheduling the delivery dates and arrange set up as per material availability and convey the same to sales department.
  • Checking & approval of all maintenance related activities.
  • The scrap generated should be intimated to In process QC ,stores/ purchase department in time.
  • Customer complaints handling & coordination with QC to resolve the same.
  • "S" activity monitoring & implementation every week.
  • Ensure the entry or exit of visitors on shop floor is followed as per defined policy.
  • Check production yield and reconciliation at various stages of production.
  • Time study for all stages of production(it's a one-time activity and should be updated as per change in process or technology).
  • Stock monitoring at WIP.
  • Ensure that WIP stock is reconciled on 2nd working day of every Quarter.
  • Ensure smooth movement of material through production process.
  • Interacts with FINAL QC & Production supervisor on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information .
  • Corrective preventive action, if any feedback/complaint received from customer / quality department.

Rework:

  • Monitor the rework along with time spent , cost involved so as to reduce it
  • Cost of poor Quality to be measured and informed to quality dept with defined frequency

Efficiency:

  • Efficiency of all resources (operator, production, machine should not be less than current %
  • Efficiency  report should be maintained and measured against targeted efficiency

Productivity:

  • Monitor man-hours allotted vs. actual man-hours used for production
  • Machine utilization should be achieved as per defined target
  • Changeover / set up time reduction
  • Reduction in Cycle time

Cost Reduction:

  • Manpower cost saving
  • Reduction in rejection
  • Maintenance cost reduction
  • Reduction in Electricity consumption
  • Contract labour reduction

Cost Control:

  • Implement cost control programs for eg reduce the wastage of the material/consumable, reduce the process cost by suggesting kaizen, minimize the scrap % etc.

Quality:

  • Ensure that quality product is produced "I Make I check "strategy
  • Customer complaints handling & coordination with QC to resolve the same.
  • Corrective preventive action, if any feedback/complaint received from customer / quality department.
  • Offer assembly / component to in process quality to check the quality of product
  • Offer Finish goods to Final quality to check the final quality of product

Material Consumption & Reconciliation:

  • Consumption & Reconciliation Material consumption should be as per BOM (for BOM going items)
  • In case of discrepancy in BOM Going items,( consumption at positive /negative side ) same should be  immediately corrected in ERP BOM
  • For Non Bom material , consumption value should be monitored against production  and monthly reported to management.
  • Quarterly reconciliation of wip stock with respect to BOM & same should be reported to directors along with mismatch value .
  • YRK to post these miss match entries(SAN posting) in ERP from time to time , to ensure online stock(Book stock to match with physical stock).
  • Ensure that material is back flushed at declaration stages

Systems & procedures:

  • Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations.
  • 1)Develop policies & protocol with respect to:
      • a)Follow and monitor all compliances with respect to ISO, CE, Safety , UL,certifications.
      • b)Establish control and review production department from controlling point of view.
      • c)Actively involve in developing KPI's for subordinates on timely basis.
      • d)Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to.
      • e)Ensure implementation and adherence to safety procedures.
      • f)Monitor quality standards of products.
      • g)Prepare and maintain production reports.

M.I.S:

  • Submission of MIS should be done on timely basis.

Certifications:

Follow and monitor all compliances with respect to ISO, ASME, CE, Safety, UL, CSA,5'S and other certifications.
